Arizonans Report Feeling California 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake

On Friday at approximately 8:22 p.m., chandeliers started swinging and pool water began to sloshing at Arizona homes as far away as 400 miles from the Ridgecrest, California 7.1 magnitude earthquake.

From Waddell to Chandler, Arizonans were sharing their experiences. There were no reports of damage.

The earthquake on Friday struck 11 miles northeast of Ridgecrest, according to the US Geological Survey. It was 10 times stronger than Thursday’s 6.4 -magnitude earthquake, also centered near Ridgecrest.
