Parents Find Drugs In El Mirage Thrift Store Glow Worm

PHOENIX – The Phoenix Police Department is warning parents to be careful about thrift store purchases, after two parents found 5,000 pills believed to be fentanyl in a Glow Worm.

According to the Department, the parents purchased a glow worm at a thrift store in El Mirage for their daughter. When they got to their north Phoenix home they cleaned and washed the toy before they let her play with it. When they opened the back to put in batteries, they found a sandwich bag packed with pills. They immediately called the Phoenix Police Department and gave the bag to officers.

Parents are reminded to inspect all opened and used items for your family’s safety.
