Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Asking Public To Help Identify Credit Card Theft Suspect

From the Home Depot, YCSO deputies were able to pull surveillance footage on September 25th that showed the suspect wearing all black: black pants, long black sleeve sweatshirt, black shoes, black baseball cap, aqua blue framed sunglasses on his collar, and a black face covering.

PRESCOTT, AZ – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying a credit card thief.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, on September 10, at 8:30 a.m., they were contacted by a victim of a burglary who reported his vehicle’s window had been broken and items including a credit card were stolen. The victims were hiking in vicinity of Thumb Butte for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to find their vehicle had been burglarized in the trailhead parking lot.

The credit card was later used to make purchases amounting to over $2000, which led deputies to a Home Depot in Frontier Village in Prescott.

The suspect’s nationality wasn’t easily discernable from the footage however deputies believe he may be either a tanned white male or Hispanic male. His height and weight are estimated to be approximately 5′-6″ to 5′-10″ tall and 165 to 185 pounds. The suspect may be driving a 2000+ year model crew cab truck, possibly a Nissan Frontier.

YCSO believes this suspect has a well-established method to his thievery and may have committed similar crimes. YCSO is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
