Drug Dealer Sentenced, Caught With Nearly 90,000 Counterfeit Pills With Fentanyl

A Mexican man, Eduardo Flores-Diaz, was sentenced to 78 months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to sell 90,000 counterfeit pills containing fentanyl.

According to the Department of Justice, in April 2022, Flores-Diaz, traveled from Tucson, Arizona, with three co-conspirators. The conspirators were subsequently stopped in Scottsdale, Arizona, by federal agents and troopers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), during the law enforcement operation. Approximately 90,000 counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl were discovered in their possession.
