Phoenix Man Charged With Threatening Maricopa County Supervisor Gates

A Phoenix man, Ryan Stuart Hadland, has been charged with a misdemeanor violation for threatening Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates.

The charge, Use of an Electronic Communication to Terrify, Intimidate, Threaten or Harass, was filed June 1, in Maricopa County Superior Court.

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office alleges that on November 12, 2022, the 44-year-old Hadland sent a threatening email to Maricopa County Supervisor Bill Gates.

Use of an Electronic Communication to Terrify, Intimidate, Threaten, or Harass is a Class 1 misdemeanor, and Hadland faces up to six months in jail and a $2,500.00 fine.

To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the threats received by Cochise County Supervisor Peggy Judd.
