
Phoenix police have made an arrest in connection with a hit and run near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road that left a 29-year-old man.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area of 3500 West Camelback Road on November 8, 2023, at about 4:36 a.m. to investigate a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian. When officers got to the scene, they found a man, identified as Habimana Ciza, suffering from serious life-threatening injuries. Ciza was taken to the hospital where he was not able to survive his injuries. The driver of the car left the scene and was later contacted after an extended investigation.
Graciela Gracia-Marquez was identified as the driver and later booked into jail for leaving the scene of a collision involving a death.
