Phoenix Quinceañera Shop Owner Accused Of Defrauding Customers Sued For $310K

Oh La la

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office has filed a lawsuit against defunct quinceañera dress store, Oh La La by Posh, and its owner, Renee Cuellar. The lawsuit alleges that Oh La La and Cuellar accepted thousands of dollars’ worth of deposits before abruptly shuttering the store and leaving customers without dresses or refunds.

The complaint alleges that Oh La La and Cuellar engaged in deceptive and unfair acts in violation of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act that included accepting customer deposits without any actual intent to deliver the orders; falsely representing that customer orders would be delivered on dates certain; and falsely representing that customers would be refunded.

The Attorney General’s Office is seeking restitution for customers that did not receive their orders or refunds; civil penalties of at least $310,000; and injunctive relief prohibiting Cuellar and her company from advertising and selling clothing in Arizona.
