The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is notifying residents and business owners in the Seligman area of a planned power outage scheduled by APS for maintenance.

The outage will begin on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) recognizes that power outages can create safety issues. As a result, it is taking proactive, precautionary measures. The Sheriff’s Office will be adding more resources to the area, including extra deputies to maintain high-visibility patrols throughout the outage.

YCSO asks residents to ensure all home and vehicle doors and windows are securely locked before heading to bed. If you rely on battery-operated medical devices, ensure they are fully charged before midnight on Saturday. Keep a flashlight and spare batteries easily accessible.

YCSO advises resident to not hesitate to report any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities in your neighborhood.

For non-emergency reports or concerns contact the YCSO non-emergency dispatch line 928-771-3260.
