Previously Deported Man Guilty Of Aggravated Manslaughter Caught By Border Patrol Agents

TUCSON – On Saturday, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Noel Montes-Lopez, a previously deported convicted felon. The 44-year-old Montes-Lopez, was apprehended by Tucson Sector agents patrolling the desert near Nogales.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, a records checks revealed that Montes-Lopez plead guilty to aggravated manslaughter in Monmouth County, New Jersey, September 17, 2010. He was sentenced to twelve years in prison and ordered removed from the country, June 2019.

Montes-Lopez faces federal prosecution for criminal immigration violations.
