The Constitution Matters

Democracy a system best described as, two wolves and a sheep voting to determine what’s for dinner. Or in a voting system, systematically morphed into one that the declared winner is the one with the largest number of reported votes.

The USA was founded as a Republic. Republic: a government of Self-Governing Citizens, electing representatives to be responsible to their voters. Their election system was one which they could reasonably expect “EVERY LAWFULLY CAST VOTE, ACCURATELY COUNTED.” They expected the losers to not be abused or have to worry about ending up on the dinner menu.

The heart of this system is the Electoral College which was designed to ensure a Republic in which the losers are guaranteed their Constitutional Bill of Rights. Opposite that is Democracy, which the losers are subject to being abused by the side that was able to report the most votes. Our Republican form of government has made the USA the most desired place on earth to live. We at the Election Integrity Project of Arizona (EIPAZ) thank our Founding Fathers, for our Electoral College and its unique ability to help us keep our cherished REPUBLIC. Yes, “The Constitution Matters.”
