On Saturday, a man was found deceased with gunshot wounds near 35th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 17, 2023, just before 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting near 35th Avenue and McDowell Road. Arriving officers found a vehicle crashed into a building. Inside the vehicle, a man was found deceased with gunshot wounds.
Detectives believe the victim, 41-year-old Raul Chavez, was in an altercation with unknown suspects in the parking lot before the shooting occurred. The suspect(s) remains outstanding.
