
Phoenix Police Department detectives have arrested three individuals in connection to the murder of 49-year-old Jake Kelly that was reported on August 28, 2023.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 28, 2023, at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault call at a north Phoenix hospital. Officers learned that throughout the night of August 27th, Kelly was assaulted and left unresponsive in the driveway of a residence in the neighborhood of 2400 East John Cabot Road.
Kelly was hospitalized in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries on September 8, 2023, at about 1:00 p.m. Detectives worked diligently for the next two months and were able to identify 34-year-old Angel Mullooly as the suspect responsible for the murder of Kelly.
On November 10, 2023, Mullooly was arrested and booked into MCSO jail for 2nd Degree murder. Cory Young and Shannon Young were also arrested for hindering the investigation in connection with this murder case and booked into jail.
