
A man’s body has been recovered after he disappeared into the Colorado River while rafting.
According to the Bullhead City Police Department, on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., boating officers responded to the beach area at Moser Avenue and Sixth Street. Thomas Michael McCluney, age 51 of Bullhead City, had reportedly been pulled from the Colorado River after going under water while attempting to float on a raft with a friend.
Life-saving attempts were administered, but McCluney was later pronounced deceased at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.
The drowning appears to be accidental and not suspicious or criminal in nature. The victim was not wearing a life jacket.
