PHOENIX – Arizona Governor Doug Ducey thanked the voters for their patience and encouraged the media to “avoid the temptation to declare a winner until our Arizona election officials have finished their jobs.”
I want to thank the voters of Arizona for having patience. I encourage media outlets, cable news and national pundits to do the same, and avoid the temptation to declare a winner until our Arizona election officials have finished their jobs. 1/3

Ducey’s sentiment was echoed by his fellow republican politicians, and the pundits.
You do not declare a winner in the middle of the fourth quarter – you do it at the conclusion of the game. There’s still a lot of football to be played. Buckle up!

MUST WATCH on @newsmax: I’m appalled Arizona was called for Joe Biden. It was way too early. AZ has a lot of early mail-in ballots, & hundreds of thousands of votes haven’t been counted! Things are looking good for President @realdonaldtrump, & he has a good shot at winning AZ! pic.twitter.com/rKtnXz0ksG
