Now, The Clinton Foundation Gets To Show Its True Altruism

HIllary Clinton now has time on her hands and, according to what we understand about charitable foundations, that’s great for the world’s impoverished. It must have been quite the distraction from this Foundation’s noble goal to have one of its namesakes so tied up with an electoral pursuit.

When I was in high school, if a teacher suspected a kid of cheating, he or she could follow a course of specific actions intended to lead to the truth.

The doubting teacher had the right to administer an exam in a more controlled setting, perhaps alone in a room. If the student performed as well, his reputation was restored and he would be vindicated. The flip-side? If he did not, then the suspicion was justified and consequences followed swiftly.

That brings us to a post-electoral era in which the Clinton Foundation is in a position to demonstrate its nobility. Yes, the teacher –the American public— has sufficient evidence to suspect cheating. The FBI has said as much, as if common sense hadn’t.

But, giving the Clintons the benefit of the doubt would be a telling exercise in political science taught for years to come.

Let’s be judge and jury. Instead of condemning the Foundation and the Clintons, let’s see if, free of distraction, the Clinton Foundation might now flourish as never before. The Clintons speaking calendar should be open and money should come rolling in.

If there was no “pay to play,” which the Clintons passionately insisted, then speaking fees should stay the same and engagements should be at least as frequent, maybe more so. Foreign nations and wealthy individuals should be upping the endowment of this fine institution.

Yes, the teacher should put them in a room and see how the test goes in a controlled environment.

Let’s measure how those two energetic fundraisers perform in the the next two years and compare it with the past two.

If the results are the same, or better, the teacher’s suspicion was wrong. If the student doesn’t fare as well, what other proof do you want? This will be a great experiment, provided of course it’s not interrupted by, say, an indictment.

Yes, I am for investigations and independent prosecutors. The Clintons’ treasonous behavior shouldn’t be allowed to pass with impunity. There is too much at stake. But, in the meantime, let’s apply common sense.

Citizens throughout the land believe there are two sets of rules. Such an audit will help us determine if that’s the case.

Mending fences and bringing people back together after a strange and vicious electoral season is important. But, pardoning the Clintons or ignoring their trespasses against the public trust would only cause more suspicion regarding a “rigged” system.

Ironically, it may wind up being that the Clintons’ insatiable lust for power and money was, in fact, what kept her from the White House. Had the corruption not been so flagrant, this country might have been saying, “Mrs. President,” in January.

Let me be clear. This is not the only reason Hillary Clinton lost. Her corruption, along with failed policies of the incumbent, was the coup de grace.

The scary part of the results? Clinton still won the popular vote. This is not the time to celebrate but the time to get to work.

That work should not be Donald Trump’s alone. That would be the gravest of errors.

The fact that many of the President-elect’s adversaries did not care about limits on Executive power provides no license for him, or us, to behave the same.

No, Congress needs to reacquaint itself with its formidable delegated powers under Article I of the Constitution and, by comparison, the quite smaller duties of the Executive in Article II. We too, as a people, need to be involved in this mission and insist upon a Constitutional Republic with elected leaders held in check by the parchment barriers that give them legitimate authority to lead us.

When leaders take advantage of their position by lining their own pockets at the public expense or exceeding their Constitutional mandate then the thread which holds our society together is frayed.

Therefore, the Clinton Foundation scandal cannot now be forgotten and why the excesses of each succeeding President cannot be tolerated.

Holding those within our Government accountable and limiting our Government to the powers we have delegated to it are essential to the preservation of the Republic.

Only then do we have a real chance of a more stable ship of state with Liberty and Justice for all our continued mantra.

  1. The final days for protest of the election votes are “FRIDAY” for Michigan – Wisconsin is coming soon – there is a drive that says the ‘optical scanners’ were off in those states – the decision to protest the election results and give the election to Hilary ; are pending and in the making. This election is NOT OVER – the implications will be like no other we have ever seen! Is this election over and final – I don’t think so – and think it more not over as more momentum gathers in this movement to come up with ‘the hanging chads’ of this election. It will not surprise me if this entire election is overthrown. It is the time in which we live.

  2. Thanks for the comments. Good discussion. I am for pursuing the Clintons even if it does take some time and effort. It would be evidence of a corrupt bargain to let her off. We do have better things to do but the consequences of not doing anything could be significant. Bad precedent to establish.

    • I think you have to pick your battles. I’m not willing to see the country embroiled and consumed with a Clinton trial and incarceration at the expense of building a wall, revoking Obamacare, getting Supreme Court justices approved, etc. etc. I’m more interested in fixing things than in vengeance.

  3. According to multiple sources,New York Post begin one. There donations have dropped about 37% as of two days ago.

  4. I’m for prosecuting her and putting her behind bars for life for all the crimes she’s committed. However, I’m wondering if the resulting fire that would follow on the part of the idiots who are liberals of this country that would result is worth Trump’s time and energy when there’s much more work to be done to right Obama’s wrongs.

    • The biggest “wrong” that obummer has done is to NOT prosecute the Lying, Crooked, Treacherous, Treasonous, Traitorous, Criminal HITLERy KLINKton, the Wicked _hich from the East.

Remember when Trump said “I will never lie to you”. I myself plan to hold him to his word and if he doesn’t prosecute her/them, I will be on his ass just like I was with HITLERy and obummer.

      • Well, whatever. I think that this could consume all his time and energy and greatly distract the public on more pressing needs. And this country has a ton of pressing needs. You have to pick your battles.

  5. the ‘dress designer’ for Michelle says she’ll refuse to make a dress for Mrs. Trump – very interesting – you mean she wants to be like the folks that didn’t want to serve ‘gay marriages’ on a personal beliefs basis? I think if she refuses to make the dress perfect if requested there might be hate crimes invoked – isn’t that the choice given to those not wanting to do the photographs or make a cake at the gay marriages.

.. that would be stupid – but it’s exactly the thought and process of the lefts intimidation of the past years – and they wonder why Trump was elected.

    • Did the one time fashion model, Mrs Trump, ask this so called designer to do something for her? Could it be the designer knew Mrs Trump had better taste than that but wanted one last chance to pump up sales on the basis of Mrs Obama`s patronage?

  6. This puts the situation in terms I had not thought of – it really is simple. Let’s see how many good works the Clinton Foundation accomplishes from this point forward. Fortunately, for those in need – perhaps the “magnifying glass” will add additional incentive for the Clinton Foundation to raise their game.

  7. the ‘inauguration is not yet’ the battle continues, don’t close your eyes – don’t give an inch to the left at this point. It’s not over, the battle for the votes of the EC is not over. The nation stands on the brink of dissolution – a overthrow of the constitutional mandates of the method of election is in the wind. Buckle up.

  8. Already the lame stream media are pounding the President-elect on his personal business holdings when they gave the Clinton’s a total pass on the corruption inside their Foundation. Pay for play. Foreign favors. Six figure speaking engagements. Wall Street donations. Family insider dealings. etc etc etc.

  9. I expect Trump to be held to the same standard. Let’s open an investigation and make all deposits and assets on hand evidence. Then order a deposition from her brother. That will get the scales of justice tinkling. Along with the Clintons.

    • The same double standard that the left uses? We the People will hold President Trump accountable. A refreshing change from the Democrats turning a blind eye. Schumer thinks he can dictate to President Trump who he thinks is right for America. The left is irrelevant, read the writing on the wall. They will continue to believe the polls though, and we saw how worthless they were.

  10. America dodged a bullet for sure. The lamestream media still doesn’t realize that they along with Obama/Clinton were rejected. It is very amusing to see them struggle for relevance like a fish out of water. We know they won’t keep the Clinton Crime Family in line.
