Former Arizona State Senator/Representative Don Shooter In Medically Induced Coma In ICU

YUMA — Former Arizona State Rep. Don Shooter has been hospitalized. He is in a medically induced coma on life support.

Rep. Shooter had undergone surgery for intestinal cancer earlier in July, and suffered setback last week.

A future surgery is expected and he is not expected to leave the hospital for a month.

Rep. Bob Thorpe visited Rep. Shooter with other House colleagues. Thorpe praised Shooter’s wife for the strength she has shown and asked for prayers for the family.
