Cindy McCain was forced to apologize for a false claim she made in 2019 about stopping child trafficking at Sky Harbor Airport, but Governor Doug Ducey thanked her for her service as co-chair of the Arizona Human Trafficking Council.

The widow of the late Sen. John McCain claimed in an interview on KTAR 92.3 FM in February 2019, that she had saved a child from being trafficked after she reported seeing a child with a woman at the airport and “something didn’t look right.” Phoenix Police officers determined there was no evidence of criminal conduct or child endangerment.

Lying didn’t stop McCain from securing a confirmation as United States Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture.

According to NewsOne, “From 1989 to 1992, Cindy McCain was a drug addict. She was addicted to Percoset and Vicodin. McCain stole pills from The American Voluntary Medical Team, a relief charity organization she founded whose purpose was to aid Third World countries.”

Ducey praised McCain for her “passionate advocacy, ability to rally leaders across sectors.”

Ducey got his start at Cindy McCain’s family business, Hensley & Co. while a student at ASU. According to the Phoenix New Times, Ducey left “Hensley when he left ASU, moving on to work in sales and marketing for consumer-goods giant Procter & Gamble, but he maintained his connections to Hensley.”

Those connections are expected to pay off should he his anticipated entrance into the U.S. Senate Republican Primary race in January.

“Ducey will need that payoff in order to garner liberal Republican support because he will not be able to hide from conservatives his dismal performance during the early stages of the COVID-19 debacle,” said one Arizona GOP insider.
