
Phoenix homicide detectives seek information that may lead to identifying any suspects involved in the shooting death of 19-year-old Leon Greer, while he was driving East on Interstate 10 Freeway near 24th Street.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, in the early morning on New Year’s Day, Phoenix Officers were called to the area of 3336 East University Drive for a shooting. When officers got to the scene, they saw Leon suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Phoenix Fire Department responded and took him to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives learned a second adult male was driven to a local hospital prior to police arriving at 3336 East University Drive. This second victim was identified as being the passenger when the shooting occurred. The shooting is believed to have occurred on eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway near 24th Street.
