Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD) plans to modify its decades-old sex education curriculum to teach transgenderism.
FUSD revealed this during one of the meetings earlier this year reviewing social and sexual health curriculum for grades 2, 5, 7, 9, and 11. The district hosted three meetings: one in February, and two last month. FUSD last adopted modifications to its social/sexual health curriculum program in 2006.
Those on the committee leading the meeting reviewing the curriculum were Lance Huffman, FUSD Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction; Betty Smith, FUSD Social/Sexual Health Educator; McKenzie Bevirt, FUSD Health Services Coordinator; and Sydney Tolchinsky, Coconino County Public Health Educator.
During discussion of sex education for fifth graders, Tolchinsky said that FUSD ought to teach what she teaches children, which is that boys may have female reproductive systems.
“There are boys with periods, there are girls who will not get periods,” said Tolchinsky. “People with a uterus are going to have a period most likely, and people without a uterus won’t.”

Should Tolchinsky have not made her teachings clear, students could turn to her social media for answers. Tolchinsky’s public social media posts reflect total support for transgenderism. One Facebook post that Tolchinsky shared from a female transgender rights lawyer who identifies as a man, Chase Strangio, said that children ought to be able to undergo gender transitions an infinite amount of times.
“I would rather my kid change their sense of their gender 200 times before puberty than die before they could live. Your anxiety over young kids claiming a truth of who they are is about you, not them, not medicine, not some grave threat. Deal with your shit and let others live.”
Another post purportedly told the account of an eight-year-old child equating gender with writing hand dominance, and claiming that no physical evidence defining gender exists. According to Tolchinsky’s view through the post she shared, gender is based entirely on one’s feelings.
“‘Jake,’ 8, transgender, central Illinois: from his mom on gender – ‘I’ve always liked the analogy that a friend of ours made, Hannah Simpson. She compares being transgender to handedness. How do you know you’re right handed or left handed? No one tells you. You’re not born with a mark on your hand telling people which you are. You just know. When you put something in the wrong hand, you know then, too. You know it feels wrong, not right. That’s how gender is. When a trans person is walking around the world in the gender they’re not, they know it feels wrong. They just know. And when they transition, when they live authentically, it’s like picking up a pencil in the right hand. It feels good, it feels natural and organic and right.”
Tolchinsky has acknowledged that her view of gender is controversial. In a November post made on the “Trans Day of Remembrance,” Tolchinsky lamented that people have accused her of “groom[ing] kids to change their gender.” She insisted that her teachings were part of “inclusive sex ed.”
Tolchinsky also appeared to dismiss the claims of those who have attested to their regret of gender transition procedures. She shared a picture of a transgender influencer’s post making light of their accounts.
“I bet that more people regret Harry Potter tattoos than gender affirming care,” read the post.
Not all on the committee were comfortable with these changes broached by Tolchinsky. Smith, a longtime educator in the district, expressed concern that they were supporting an unhealthy, and possibly dangerous path for children. Smith also revealed that some parents in the district were encouraging their children to transition genders.
“I don’t think a kid at the age of 10 or 11, or possibly even seventh grade, has the capability to make the decision of going through multiple surgeries that they’re going to have to do in order to change,” said Smith.
Tolchinsky rebutted that Smith needed to leave her personal opinions out of the conversation, and that her concerns were based purely on feelings.
“Leaving our own opinions out of this important info. We all want them to have the right info and not color that with how we feel,” said Tolchinsky.
Tolchinsky further expressed a desire to encourage children to “play with gender” and explore “gender diversity.”
Huffman chimed in that gender was a “cultural thing,” not biological fact. He also suggested that the district replace all gendered language with “people.”
“We might want to shift to ‘people’ language rather than just boys and girls so some people get periods or people with a uterus may and people with a penis will not,” said Huffman.
She looks like the typical seller of transgender poison. It appears she never had any biology classes unless she imagined them. Any fool that believes her bullcrap is delusional. Messing with a kid’s head should be a felony.
I’m not a bible scholar or particularly devout, but this reminds me of Revelations and Sodom and Gomorrah. I think our country and our world have collectively turned our backs on our deities. Nothing good will come of this.

Government schools have become dens of iniquity. Parents who care about their children have to bite the bullet and either send them to private school or home school them. Sadly there are a lot of parents today who don’t love their kids.
These people are entirely mentally perverted. Some dont realize it, some do. They are all dangerous to our children. THEY ARE PREDATORS OF YOUR CHILDREN. Rise up and dispose of these people from your school boards, schools and classrooms. Their filth is despicable and mortally dangerous to your children. You’re right. Self preservation comes first but we have to vote in school board elections and elect normal people because the activists have taken over. They’re in the minority but they get out and vote. Most people pay no attention to school board elections and this is what we get.

At what point is enough, enough? I truly hope the parents put a stop to this. If the school board refuses to stop it, recall them. Then put a board in place to fire these people for dereliction. If these feckless teachers and administrators threaten to sue, let them. After all the kid’s wellbeing comes first. Also, put your kids in a charter school and financially bankrupt the district. These people think their jobs are secure because they are either government employees or unionized, but like other districts are learning that’s not the case.
Plain and simple. If you have/leave your child in a government run school. You are guilty of child abuse.
