Three Found Dead After Phoenix Apartment Fire Is Extinguished

Detectives are investigating an incident that left a woman and two men dead after they are found inside a South Phoenix apartment that was set on fire.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on July 15, 2024, around 6:30 a.m., the Phoenix Fire Department and police officers responded to an apartment fire at the complex located at 13229 South 48th Street. Fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire, after which they located three adults, one woman and two men, deceased inside of the apartment. Upon initial examination it appeared that all three victims suffered obvious signs of trauma that was not related to the fire inside of the apartment.

The Phoenix Fire Department’s Arson Investigation Task Force and the Phoenix Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to conduct the related scene investigation. Specifics related the victim’s injuries will be determined through the Office of the Medical Examiner’s autopsy to be conducted at a later date.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
